 Tim Lister

This author has made a very good series of Halftone filters, plus a See Through Drop Shadow, an Edge Fade and three Contour Filters. Also note that he provides the source code for his filters on his site, as well as useful info on FF developing.

You can get them at : www.ozemail.com.au/~tal/Filters/

Halftone filters

This series of filters provides a nice and efficient way of creating halftones, whether for printing or artistic purposes ; based on precise algorithms, they perform very well, and are much easier to use than the Halftone filter provided with PS ; the one problem I see is that they only produce B/W images.

A very simple and classic effect, not much to say...

See thru drop shadow

A nice filter for adding semitransparent drop shadows, though not easy to use (and now a standard effect in PS...).

Contour Filters

An interesting series of 3 filters which turn an image into black lines matching the contours of the image, based on saturation, hue or brightness - anice and useful effect, even if it takes some practice to pick the right filter depnding on your image.
