 This product is less a plugin than a "meta-plugin" : it does nothing by itself, but enables you to load Filter Factory filters in various forms, edit the code, change the settings, and apply it to an image. A number of small features make it incredibly powerful, and easy to use : for example, there is a summary of the FF commands at hand, you can store, browse, and preview presets for each filters, and there are a number of ways for you to reorganize your filters. It also makes decompiling and compiling filters seamless. On top of that, its way of storing the codes let you get rid of the *.8bf files themselves, thus freeing quite some room on you HD - always a nice thing. And finally, it comes with a number of filters by the author,
Michael Johanhannwahr (already the author of the
Plugin Manager), some of which are very classic effects, but quite a number being very interesting, especially the texture generators and a couple of effects (the very good Aged Film).
In the end : a must-have - and for a first version, I have not even found a bug. |
