This was a hard review to start. How do
you say all the other plug-ins seem like child's play? How do
you say, at last a plug-in that's original and serious for
those who really need and want something more than just
'cute'.
Euphoria brings to plug-ins what Porsche brought to the
Autobahn. Serious and high performance enjoyment.
This company has been creating effects for the past seven
years for video and film professionals and decided to bring
that expertise to the Photoshop Plug-in market in
Web-Euphoria. This set encompasses many new technologies that
will truly impress. The set is made of twenty different
effects, including rain, snow, starfield and other, what I
might call predictable plug-ins, except they are satisfyingly
real.
Other more unique effects include Sabbatier. The company says
this is an "..old photographers trick traditionally done
through a double exposure to give a surrealistic,
other-worldly look to an image" and man, is that an
understatement! It rocks with just a stroke. There is also
Grayscaler that gives separate red, green and blue controls.
And of course, the effect they're really known for in the
video and film industry, Aged Film.
The program is pretty straight forward and easy to use, the
screens not all that fancy, but efficient and effective. The
one drawback is they haven't come out with the PC version
yet...which is disappointing, since I'm both. But I'll forgive
them if they follow through with their promise to do so. And
Digi-Effects is saying this plug in is just the start, so I'm
looking forward to more to come.
OK, you can do without the other "oh boy isn't this fun"
plug-ins, but if you are a serious professional seeking a
filter that's really useful, here it is. OK.....maybe if no
ones looking, you can certainly find something here that reeks
of fun too!
