Only in beta for now, this is one more "meta-plugin",
to help you code your own filters. It has several advantages over
the competition, the main ones being its capabilities in terms of
interface design (you can use backgrounds images and such, and also
all sorts of other controls than the usual sliders), and the language
it uses : a subset of C and a superset of the standard FF language,
bringing new variables and functions. A lot of things have been
standardized and implemented in this language to help the filter
designer gain developing time, and the PDF how-to provided (well,
at least the part of it provided in the beta) really gives a lot
of help in a clear, easy-to-understand format.
The beta I have tested (0.42) is not very solid and tends to react
to typos by creating big memory problems and generally crashing
PS (or your whole system), but it should soon be fixed I hope, making
of this tool a fierce competitor for the other such products.
Also note that two other versions should be realized, the Lite
leaving you the possibility to compile and distribute your own filters,
and the Pro giving you access to advanced editing functions on top
of it.
